Some Useful Computer Tricks


  •  Get On- screen keyboard on your computer



  • Go to start menu and click RUN.
·      Keyboard shortcut to open Run Box is [windows] + [R]. Go to Important Shortcut keys for more.

  • Type osk in the run box and click OK.

  •  Then, on- screen keyboard appears on your computer. You can type and perform computer operations from this keyboard.


  • Get symbols which aren’t available on keyboard

You might need mathematical symbols, cards signs, currency signs, M/F signs, etc like £©®±µƩɸᴎ€₹Ω☼♠♣♫♪♥♀♂☺ which aren’t available on keyboard. Here is a simple step to obtain these symbols.


  • Go to Start Menu and click All Programs.
  •   Go to Accessories and then click System tools.

  • Click Character Map.


You can create your own symbols or characters through Private Character Editor. This is Windows program and you can search on your computer.


  • Listen text/internet read aloud with Narrator

Narrator is a windows program which reads the text on the screen aloud. It is available in different languages. Hit [ctrl] + [shift] + [spacebar] to read entire text and [ctrl] to stop the narrator from reading text.


  •  Go to Start Menu and click All Programs.

  • Go to Accessories and then click Ease of Access/Utility.
        Keyboard shortcut for Ease of Access/Utility is press [windows] + [U].If you want more keyboard shortcut, you can visit, Important shortcut keys.

  •  Click Narrator.


  • Sticky Keys

Press [shift] key 5 times to run sticky keys which helps you to create your own keyboard shortcut.
