Important Shortcut Keys

• If you want to permanently delete files without letting them in Recycle bin, select the files and click [Shift] + [Del] key.

• If your computer doesn’t have [windows] key, don’t worry. There is an alternative key for [windows] which is [ctrl] + [Esc]. 

• If you want run box on your computer, you can simply hit [Windows] + [R]. 

• If you want to search any file in your computer, hit [windows] + [F] to open the main search window. It is easier and quick method to find out the desired files.

• If you want to quickly hide porn videos you are watching or any important document you are typing, hit [windows] + [D]. It quickly minimizes any open window. You can also hit [windows] + [M] to minimize any open window but this is a little bit slow. To restore, hit [windows] + [shift] + [M]. 

• Simply hit [F2] to rename any file by selecting it.

• Hit [F1] for Help in most of the program. 

• If you want to switch to the next open application, hit [windows] + [tab].It is fast and awesome. 

• If you want quickly lock the computer, hit [windows] + [L].

• If you want hyperlink creation in MS Word, hit [ctrl] + [K].

• If you want replace options in MS word, hit [ctrl] + [H].

• To change the Font size in MS word, hit [ctrl] + [shift] + [P].

• If you want to select everything from cursor to the end of the line, hit [Ctrl] + [End]. 

• If you want to select everything from cursor to the beginning of the line, hit [Ctrl] + [Home]. 

• If you want to move cursor to the beginning of line, press [Home] and for end of the line, press [End]. 

• If you want to select all text, simply hit [Ctrl] + [A]. 

• To align text for left, centre, right and justify, hit [Ctrl] + [L], [Ctrl] + [E], [Ctrl] + [R] and [Ctrl] + [J] respectively. 

• For bold, italic and underline text, shortcut keys are [Ctrl] + [B], [Ctrl] + [I] and [Ctrl] + [U] respectively. 

• If you want spelling and Grammar Check in MS word as well as other program, press [F7]. 

• Shortcut key for My computer is [windows] + [E]. 

• Move to the beginning of the document, [ctrl] + [Home]. 

• Move to the end of the document, [ctrl] + [End]. 

• Keyboard shortcut for right click is [shift] + [F10]. 

• Move backward or forward while surfing the net by hitting [Alt] and [>] or [<]. 

• Hit [F5] to automatically insert date and time in Notepad. 

• Close current file or program, [Alt] + [F4]. 

• Keyboard shortcut for System and Security is [windows] + [pause/break]. 

• If you want to copy computer screen, hit [Ctrl] + [Prt Scr]. You can paste in MS word, paint, photoshop, etc using shortcut key [ctrl] + [V]. 

• To open new tab in Google chrome hit [Ctrl] + [T] and to close opening tab, hit [Ctrl] + [W]. 

• Press [Ctrl] + [D] to quickly bookmark current page in Google Chrome. 

• If you want to open new browser window, you can hit [Ctrl] + [N]. 

• If you want to view full screen of any websites, press [F11]. 

• Press [Ctrl] + [F] to open Find Box in most of the program. 

• For Subtitle track in VLC Media Player, hit [V]. 

• Hit [Ctrl] + [C] to copy, [Ctrl] + [X] to cut and [Ctrl] + [Z] for undo (Undo means reversing the activities you are doing). 

• Hit [Shift] keys five times to activate sticky keys.
